Arts&Life: Where will we live tomorrow?

July 15 (Sun) – September 30 (Sun), 2012

「Arts&Life: Where will we live tomorrow?

A Full-scale House Will Appear in the Art Museum.
The house of the future—what will it be like? 39 proposals submitted by architects of the rising generation.
This exhibition—the museum’s first thematic exhibition since its grand reopening—invited proposals for a house design based on the theme, A House for Living. On this basis, through the endeavors of rising generation architects, the exhibition attempts to sketch the outlines of a “future house” embodying new values.
Models of proposal winning awards will be displayed and the first prize winner’s proposal built at full-scale in the museum.

Judges: Kazuhiro Kojima, Ryue Nishizawa, Akihisa Hirata, Sou Fujimoto, Yoshitake Mamuro
Each judge’s award was decided on July 15.
