The “Group Show of Contemporary Artists” is an exhibition series aimed at supporting the creative development of up-and-coming artists. The series features exhibitions by groups, selected through a public application process, who are exploring new directions in art and whose artworks give full play to this museum’s exhibit spaces.
This year’s Group Show, the second in the series, will consist of 10 group exhibitions chosen by a jury from 31 submissions received in response to public appeal. The exhibitions range in genre from painting, sculpture, and calligraphy to kogei (crafts) and installation works. Visitors can look forward to a broad range of works by artists who challenge conventional thinking.
