Group Show of Contemporary Artists 2014
what may be different to see through THE WINDOWS

December 9 (Tue) – December 20 (Sat), 2014

Group Show of Contemporary Artists 2014 what may be different to see through THE WINDOWS poster
An exhibition of group shows selected through public invitation for “Group Show of Contemporary Artists 2014.”

Exhibition Introduction by the Group
This show’s theme is the “perspective” of contemporary artists working in diverse media. The show will examine the relationships and sense of distance between the “artwork, artist, and art viewer.” It will explore the artwork’s Raison d'être by likening the artist’s creative world to a “house” and the individual artist’s perspective to a “window.” Instead of remaining closed in our individual worlds, can we not look outside through our window and enjoy debate and discussion with others?
Participating Artists * representative
Maki Ozawa, Akira Inaba, Yoko Endo, Hazumi Sazuka, Sho Sato, Yuki Sano, Hiroaki Yamasaki, Masaru Shimizu, Tomomi Tsuchiya, Michihide Touda, Shota Hata*
Group Profile
We are a group of artists endeavoring to express our vantage point and perspective on the world through art production. Our group has been formed on the basis of a plan set forward by a participating member, Shota Hata. We are a wide spectrum of artists, actively engaged in exploring and understanding “the nature of the artwork”—the theme of this show.
