Exhibition Introduction by the Group
By opening a nao nakamura “gallery” this time at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, we aim to epitomize the journey until now of TENSAI High School !!!! and the artists who have come aboard. This we will do by holding a new show “Drift” exploring the project’s journey-like character. Taking, as a start, “place” (the element of greatest importance to a gallery) and the absence of an exhibition scenario, we will provide a vicarious experience of the art actions of nao nakamura + TENSAI High School !!!! as a continually evolving group and show the manner of art production being undertaken collectively and individually by artists of the new generation.

Group Profile
This is an exhibition by TENSAI High School !!!! and nao nakamura, a group of artists hailing from Bigakko, a private art school. A new kind of gallery, nao nakamura opened in 2011 on the occasion of the first TENSAI High School !!!! show. Taking “Koenji Shirouto no ran 12-go-ten” as our base, we seek to bring many young artists into our journey by drifting from plan to plan with no particular residence or art categories.
