Announcement of reopening of TOKYO METROPOLITAN ART MUSEUM
Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum will take measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus for the safety and security of all visitors, users and staff.
Notices to visitors
・Temperatures will be taken at the entrance to the museum. Visitors who are found to have a fever of normal body temperature or higher or symptoms such as coughing, sore throat will be refused entry.
・Refrain from visiting the museum if you have been in close contact with a Covid-19 infected person.
・Do Washing and disinfecting your hands.
・Refrain from visiting in large groups.
・Please practice good ‟coughing etiquette“, such as avoiding coughing near others.
・Please follow to keep Social Distancing.
・Please take note of the date and time of your visit.
・If you begin to feel unwell while at the museum, please contact a staff.
Facility use
・The entrance is the main gate and lobby floor entrance. The East Gate is closed.
・Restriction of the number of visitors in exhibition rooms in order to prevent overcrowding.
・Please refrain from talking in exhibition rooms.
・Please do not touch walls, display cases, sculptural works.
・Please cooperate with cashless payment.
TOKYO METROPOLITAN ART MUSEUM measures to prevent the spread of infection
・Measuring a body temperature with a non-contact thermometer at the entrance.
・Disinfectant placed at the entrance to the museum.
・Thorough cleaning, disinfection, and ventilation inside the building.
・Acrylic panels installed at counters.
・All staff members wear face masks. Staff members conduct daily temperature checks and confirm that they are in good health.
・Coordination with the public health center if visitors or staff members develop symptoms.
・Entry limits will be imposed in each exhibition rooms during crowded times.
・Signs advising people not to gather together in the one place.
・Water coolers and smoking areas will be closed.
・Silver Day and Family Day will be suspended.
・Workshops may be cancelled depending on the situation.
