浮世繪受到江戶時代庶民們喜愛，是日本具代表性藝術領域之一。眾所周知，其人氣也跨越國界，對歐美的印象派畫家等藝術家們帶來偌大影響，掀起一股日式旋風。其中，葛飾北斎（Katsushika Hokusai）的「冨嶽三十六景 神奈川沖浪裏（The Great Wave off Kanagawa, from the series Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji）」是世界上最有名的日本畫，受到眾多的人喜愛。本展覧集結了無論質、量都可說是日本浮世繪三大典藏館的太田記念美術館（Ōta Memorial Museum of Art）、日本浮世絵博物館（Japan Ukiyo-e Museum）、平木浮世絵財団（Hiraki Ukiyo-e Foundation）館藏名作，展出450件精選的浮世繪版畫。雖然也流傳著浮世繪版畫名作已流失海外的說法，但其實在日本國內仍藏有世界最高水準的浮世繪典藏。歡迎鑑賞從浮世繪初期至幕末，出自許多浮世繪師們之手的名作。

1. The three great collections of ukiyo-e in Japan United for the first time, what are esteemed the three great collections of ukiyo-e in Japan, both in quality and quantity—the Ōta Memorial Museum of Art, Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, and Hiraki Ukiyo-e Foundation. A stunning presentation of some 450 famed ukiyo-e works in an excellent state of preservation. (Certain exhibits will be rotated.)
2. Major works by some 60 artists, covering the history of ukiyo-e A voyage across the history of ukiyo-e through major works by some 60 artists. From Hishikawa Moronobu—the “father of ukiyo-e”—to Suzuki Harunobu, Torii Kiyonaga, Kitagawa Utamaro, Tōshūsai Sharaku, Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Hiroshige, and Utagawa Kuniyoshi.
3. A chance to see Important Cultural Properties and Important Art Objects Numerous invaluable art treasures will be displayed, including the only extant copy of Tōshūsai Sharaku’s Soga Gorō and Gosho Gorōmaru (Important Art Object), and all three Sun, Moon, Flowers prints by Suzuki Harushige (later known as Shiba Kōkan) exhibited together in public for the first time in their history. Featured from the Hiraki Ukiyo-e Foundation will be 3 Important Cultural Properties and 115 Important Art Objects.
